A trip to Seaford

There are lots of lovely little places to frequent on the South Coast so when my best friend fancied lunch on one of her 'not often enough' visits from the big smoke we decided on Seaford. The plan was lunch but we couldn't resist the allure of the charity shops.

First stop however was lunch at the delightful Pomegranate the most gorgeous little cafe that would look more at home on a trendy London high street than the sleepy Seaford alternative. It's quite a gem; beautiful pomegranate wallpaper, mis-matched antique tables and chairs, the odd standard lamp and china to die for! Whats best is the prices are much more south coast than big smoke! Whats really best is the food is AMAZING! The chef is a proper chef and with the open kitchen you can watch him creating your culinary delights right before your very eyes!

The next few stops were the vast array of charity shops, there's some real bargain's if your willing to have a good look. However it was a tiny stationary shop that got the penny's jumping out of our purses! It the kind that hasn't yet been touched by updating and long may that continue. Crazy cheep prices and boxes and boxes of all shapes and sizes of beautiful envelops. Note pads and ring binders! We spent a little while in this treasure!

Then the real amazement came when we were feeling brave and decided to take a peak in a vintage/antique shop that quite obviously had items that were WAY beyond our tiny/non-existent budgets. However we were greeted with a delightfully kind and polite Saturday girl, who didn't great us with the normal 'your not going to buy anything' but instead a chatty helpful smiling lass! So we were on to a good start. The entrance is impressive however it's when you venture to the back and see there is a whole second room filled with the kind of items that fill pinterest pages everywhere! Literally I DREAM of owning this kind of crazy! As predicted understandably out of my price range but an inspiration and reason to keep working hard never-the-less.

Feast your eyes:

Oh and whats this shop called I here you cry: Martin D Johnson Antiques now get yourselves down there for a good old look!

Oh and then we went home and at the grand old age of 29 I let my best friend apply home hair die to me for the VERY FIRST TIME! I don't think it turnt out to bad. We went for the ever so trendy ombre look! What do you think?
